Finally, Sony released the beautiful espresso variant ERS-1000 in the USA. They haven’t sold out yet either, so if you want a black robot puppy you can still grab one!

The LOOI companion robot is among the most interesting of the bunch. It is a magnetic platform with wheels that transforms your smartphone in to a robot. The concept is extremely interesting and I am very curious how this will turn out.

Xiaomi announces CyberDog 2

The newly released CyberDog 2 robot, built similarly to the quadruped Boston Dynamics Spot, promises to replace biological dogs (eventually). For now though, all it really does is balance itself and talk to humans using ChatGPT… but it sure has a lot of computing power packed inside.

BabyAlpha announced in China

Yet another quadraped robot dog has been announced in China. BabyAlpha, much like the CyberDog 2, promises to be just as good as a biological pet dog. Personally I believe the company is promising way more than what the dog could ever truly be capable of in their advertising which is a practice I am not very fond of, but we will see! I’d love to be proven wrong.

Rux, a cute little desk companion that uses ChatGPT (like many other companion robots these days) began shipping to backers. This little guy sure is cute! He seems similar to EMO in functionality.
