Eilik Key Features:
- Multiple pet sensors – they are on the head, belly and back of the robot, so you can interact by touch in multiple ways

- “Puppet” mode that allows you to control Eilik’s expressions and positions for photo purposes
- High level of interactivity between pairs and multiples of this robot, they will do tons of different animations together
Eilik Overview:
Eilik by ENERGIZE LABS is a fun little stationary desktop robot pet. While lacking in voice or facial recognition, this robot pet is still interesting and interactive in other ways. Most notably, it does not use ChatGPT or a cloud connection unlike many other modern robot companions. That may be a bonus for some, as not everybody like ChatGPT.
Overall, Eilik is a fairly simple robot pet. It lacks advanced AI capabilities such as learning over time but makes up for it by being super expressive and animated. The simplicity works in its favor in my opinion, because sometimes all you need is a cute little guy on your desk to make your day a bit brighter without all the complicated stuff.
This little desktop robot pet does have a rechargeable battery that lasts about 1.5 hours, which is fairly standard. And while lacking in legs, it can move its arms, spin around on its base, and move his head.
Eilik also has a fun variety in colors. You can get it in blue, pink, silver, or orange currently. You can also get a tank for Eilik which you can control and use to play games. Pretty cool!
In general, this robot companion is certainly in the “toy” category. However it is versatile and can certainly provide enjoyment for adults as well.
